Superior Essex Announces Sustainable Aviation Fuel Partnership With Delta

January 9, 2023

At Superior Essex—the parent brand of Essex Furukawa Magnet Wire, Superior Essex Communications, and Essex Brownell—we know sustainability is a critical topic for the future. As such, we are committed to operating our business in an environmentally responsible way. That includes internal efforts to reduce our environmental footprint and reduce carbon emissions while our employees are traveling.

And, we’re asking ourselves, what more can we do?

Here is one answer: We are pleased to announce a partnership with Delta Air Lines to purchase Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The partnership is aimed to reduce emissions from Superior Essex and its subsidiary brands’ air travel over the next year on Delta operated flights. SAF reduces the lifecycle carbon emissions of aviation fuel by up to 80% as compared to conventional jet fuel.

“We are proud to make this long-term commitment with Delta to reduce the impact of travel on the environment,” Sustainability Manager Austin Robinson said. “Doing so aligns with our core belief that we all play an important role in reducing our carbon footprint.”

Superior Essex, together with our employees, clients, and partners, looks forward to renewed success and sustainable growth.

Essex Furukawa is especially proud of this partnership with the airline as it reinforces our commitment to Vision 2030: A Sustainable Future, Our Driving Force and its carbon reduction goals.
