June 7, 2022

ATLANTA, GA – Essex Furukawa Magnet Wire, the largest global manufacturer of magnet and winding wire, was recognized with a Diamond Award for ‘Supplier of the Year’ from DENSO, a leading mobility supplier, at the company’s annual North America Business Partner Convention on Wednesday, May 25. Held at the Suburban Collection Showplace outside Detroit, DENSO invited more than 150 supplier representatives from across North America during this year’s Convention to recognize 15 exceptional business partners.

Jared Rowntree, Essex Furukawa Magnet Wire North American President, was in attendance to receive the award. After the ceremony he spoke to what the commendation meant to him as his team.

“Essex Furukawa is genuinely honored to receive this award from DENSO as it reflects our commitment to on-going excellence,” Rowntree said. “The world has been presented with never-before-seen challenges and this award is a testament to the fact that we never wavered from our commitment to providing the highest quality product with an industry leader mindset.

“Those fundamentals truly permeate every level of our organization and when an organization like DENSO recognizes those efforts it is a direct compliment to every person inside of our plants and offices.”

DENSO’s Business Partner of the Year Awards are given to companies that demonstrate outstanding performance, a deep commitment to exceptional quality and are driven to advance mobility. Essex Furukawa supplies magnet wire to DENSO globally.

“Despite the challenges of the previous fiscal year, our supplier partners were with us every step of the way, helping our team problem solve and deliver for our customers. We thank them,” said Mike Winkler, vice president of the North America Purchasing Group at DENSO. “Looking ahead, they’ll continue this and also support our pursuit of DENSO’s Two Great Causes: Green – achieving carbon neutrality by 2035 – and Peace of Mind – creating a safe and seamless world for all.”

Essex Furukawa has previously won the 2018 North American Gold Award for Value Leadership, 2019 Business Partner of the Year Award, and the 2020 Business Partner of the Year Award from DENSO.
