FORT WAYNE, IN – Essex Furukawa Magnet Wire, the largest global manufacturer of magnet and winding wire, was recognized with a 2022 Quality Leader Award from DENSO, a leading mobility supplier, during the company’s annual North America Business Partner Convention.
DENSO hosts the convention annually to bring together award-winning supplier representatives from across North America to highlight their exceptional contributions during the previous fiscal year. This year the event was held May 31st at Suburban Collection Showplace near Detroit, Michigan.
Essex Furukawa was one of 15 recipients to be awarded by DENSO.
North American President Jared Rowntree was in attendance and said that being recognized by an illustrious partner is truly an acknowledgement of the hard work being done across the global footprint of Essex Furukawa.
“Each day our team strives to push the boundaries of technology, sustainability, and innovation,” Rowntree said. “All of that is secondary to ensuring a consistent, quality, product.
“When a company like DENSO recognizes that, it is a big deal. We are very proud of this accomplishment.”
DENSO’s Business Partner of the Year Awards are given to companies that demonstrate a shared commitment to outstanding performance, exceptional quality, sustainability, diversity and inclusion, and to advancing mobility.
The partners also play important roles in DENSO’s ability to pursue its Two Great Causes: Green – achieving carbon neutrality by 2035 – and Peace of Mind – contributing to a safe and more seamless world for all.
“This past year has been defined by an urgent need to adapt and evolve for emerging mobility trends, from electrification to connectivity and much more,” said Mike Winkler, vice president of the North America Purchasing Group at DENSO. “All of our partners, but especially these award recipients, have been crucial in helping us navigate such changes and deliver for our customers – quickly, sustainably and with enhanced value.”
Essex Furukawa has been supplying DENSO with magnet wire and insulation in North America, Europe, Asia and Japan for four decades. It is also leading the magnet wire industry with its sustainability efforts through its flagship program, Vision 2030: A Sustainable Future, Our Driving Force.
